A health and safety manager was caught drink-driving when almost three times over the limit.
Aaron Lindsay, 30, of Skua Drive, Dalgety Bay, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on February 10 on the A921 outside Aldi, Dalgety Bay, he drove a van having consumed excess alcohol.
His reading was 138 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the limit being 50 milligrammes.
Defence solicitor Kris Buchanan said his client works as a health and safety manager. He had been drinking on the anniversary of his father’s death before committing the offence.
He added: “He’s feels guilt and shame.”
Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon imposed a 16-month driving ban and a fine of £640.
