LIMELIGHT Productions is set to stage the Scottish amateur premiere of Ghost The Musical.
Following their success with The Phantom of the Opera, the theatre company will take to the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline from tonight (Wednesday).
Based on the 1990 movie, Ghost The Musical tells the story of Sam and Molly and features 'the most memorable moments from the film', such as the pottery scene and the song Unchained Melody.
Production manager Fiona Mitchell said: "Without giving too much away, I’m of an age where Ghost had just been released in the cinema, and I remember it so well - not only as a fabulous story but also as a film that was both very funny and, of course, a bit of a tearjerker.
"Our production captures all the magic of the film, with everyone’s favourite scenes and characters, but also adds some truly outstanding songs.
"It’s been a real challenge getting Ghost The Musical to the stage, as we had to build a whole set from scratch and direct it so the story moves seamlessly and at a fast pace.
"This is where our director, Kenny Christie, has been invaluable - his genius has brought all the key elements together.
"We also owe a huge debt of thanks to our technical team, Mark Lister and Andrew Mathie, who have spent countless hours building the moving flats, trucks and set pieces that make up the majority of what the audience will see on stage."
Ghost The Musical runs nightly from today until Saturday, with an additional Saturday matinee performance.
Ms Mitchell said: "If you’re coming to see Ghost, which I encourage everyone to do, be prepared for laughs, be blown away by amazing vocals, and of course, don’t forget to bring your hankies."
