A DALGETY Bay granny has taken social media by storm as she strives to inspire people to be themselves.
Ang Young, 47, started up her own Instagram page earlier this year with a mission of spreading positivity and providing some fashion ideas and pointers.
In just six months, she has built up nearly 20,000 followers and has been delighted with the feedback she has received.
"I am a size 18, 47 year-old granny and was wearing different things and folk kept stopping me saying where did you get that from," she explained. "She said i wore totally different clothes so why not start a page on Instagram.
"I thought who is going to look at that. I posted up one outfit showing a bikini underneath. Then it just grew and grew. I am just about up to 20,000 followers. I am only a wee Fife lass from Dalgety Bay and I have major celebrities following me. It is like what is happening here."
Posting pages daily, Ang said the 'Slaywithang' page is helping her and her followers.
"It has become a totally motivational thing. I am posting videos saying don't care what people think. They are finding confidence from it. One woman didn't leave her house from April and she messaged in June and said I made her go out the door.
"I just feel so inspired by everybody. Who knew me just going on about being confident and feeling sure about yourself and feeling confident in your own skin has helped. I cannot believe it.
"I have always been confident. I was three stone heavier and I opened a balloon shop in Dalgety Bay and it just fell of me naturally so I feel the best I have ever felt.
"It is coming across now. I have just done a sexy photo shoot a few weeks ago. I wanted to inspire people to feel empowered to do that. I am saying to them, do it is, is empowering. Everyone should love the body they are in and just feel good about themselves.
"I am very personal on my page. I answer every comment. I made that my mission right from the start. If someone has taken the time to write something, it is only right reply."
Ange has also enjoyed success on social media through the Facebook page of her business, Zsa Zsa Zsu Balloons, where she posts a weekly video to celebrate the weekend.
"I started doing silly videos for my balloon shop. I am just a riot. Every Friday I dress up and sing a song we all know. I am just going to keep on going.
"I have got a 23 year old, a 17 year old and a 16 year old who we fostered and adopted. The kids are so proud. They totally support me. They are used to me going out on social media."
