THE end is in sight for roadworks which have seen four-way traffic lights placed on a busy route in Dunfermline city centre.
The lights have been in place at the junction of Nethertown Broad Street and Elgin Street as part of a £3m project to upgrade electricity in the area.
However, SP Energy Networks confirmed to the Press that, "barring unforeseen issues", the lights should be off by the end of the day on Thursday.

Back in March, the company announced the work across the city would increase resilience and prepare the ground for the connection of more low-carbon technologies like electric vehicle chargers and heat pumps.
It said it would be upgrading the Dunfermline to Netherton circuit on the network, replacing 4.7km of underground cables right through the heart of the city, digging up roads between Elgin Street and Townhill.
