RAIL services are facing major disruption due to two separate incidents on the tracks.
In Dunfermline, a broken-down train on the Glenrothes with Thornton to Edinburgh line means that delays on this route can be expected.
An incident has also been reported in Edinburgh which is causing disruption across multiple routes.
Meanwhile, further delays have hit the network nearby after a person was been struck by a train this morning.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just before 10am today at Edinburgh Park Railway Station.
"Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Delays can be expected for trains leaving from Edinburgh Haymarket and services will not call at Edinburgh Park.
Sharing an update on X (formerly Twitter) Scotrail wrote: "The line has now re-opened. Services will not call at Edinburgh Park until further notice.
"Disruption to services will be ongoing until our staff and trains are back in position."
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director, said: “We’re sorry to customers who have experienced disruption to their journey, and we share their frustration when these things happen.
“Anyone delayed by 30 minutes or more is entitled to compensation though our Delay Repay Guarantee. Just keep hold of your tickets and claim on the ScotRail website or mobile app.”
