The parent council at Duloch Primary School have reached £5,000 in their fundraising efforts for a new sensory room.

As previously reported in the Press, they are trying to raise a total of £20,000.

The room will be for all pupils to use and it can be adapted to the needs of different children.

The room should include a bubble tube, colour creator light curtains, a mirror for reflective play, different kinds of mood lighting and controls, a musical touch wall, a ceilingscape and a vibroacoustic lounge chair.

The parent council have raised this money through sweepstakes, a wine tasting event, a car boot sale, Vinted selling, and two donations and selling raffle tickets in the Kingsgate.

They have also received a donation from Dunfermline restaurant Dhoom.

The group are also preparing for their latest events, which includes a Christmas raffle, where they have a Samsung 55” 4K TV  as first prize.

They have also been donated a £500 decorating voucher by G&C Mackenzie Decorating Ltd which they are selling as a sweepstake on their fundraising page.

On October 5, the parent council will be collecting and advertising our raffle and fayre at Tesco Duloch in 5th October. 

In the run up to the festive season, there will also be a Christmas Fayre at the school on November 30.
