A WEST FIFE nature conservation group have been shortlisted for an award.

CLP (Charlestown, Limekilns and Pattiesmuir) Nature Action have been shortlisted in this year’s Nature of Scotland Awards which recognise the very best in Scottish nature conservation.

Up with a chance of winning in the Community Initiative category, the winner will be decided by a public vote online. Voting will close on October 15.

CLP Nature Action have many ongoing projects including their beach cleaning programme, a school community garden, river pollution sampling, nurdle awareness and research project, biodiversity engagement with local developers and much more!

Jo McFarlane, who volunteers with the charity and also runs Wild Planet Explorers, said: “We aim to do as much as we can to restore and conserve nature across our community here in West Fife and we are lucky enough to have hundreds of volunteers from our community and surrounding area who help us achieve this.

“We are so delighted, this shortlisting is for all of them!”
