A DUNFERMLINE man has appeared in court for offences including stalking, driving when banned and being in possession of a knuckleduster.

Barry Johnston, 46, of Bute Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison.

He previously admitted that on 9th May in Townhill Road, he drove a car when disqualified and without insurance.

Johnston also breached bail conditions by being outwith his address during his curfew period.

He also previously admitted that between 25th September and 18th October 2022, at Glenrothes and elsewhere in Fife, he engaged in stalking conduct towards his former partner by sending numerous social media messages and emails, phone calls and contacted her friends and relatives.

Then on 4th August last year at his home, he was unlawfully in possession of cannabis resin, a class B controlled drug and heroin, a class A drug.

He was also in possession of an offensive weapon, a knuckleduster.

Sheriff Garry Sutherland deferred sentencing until 30th October for a drug treatment and testing order assessment.

Johnston was put on a two-year non-harassment order and for the driving offence had his licence endorsed with six penalty points.
