THE boss of a busy Chinese take-away food shop in Dunfermline has been put on the sex offenders register.

The sleazy behaviour of 47-year-old Eddie Yan Kin Ng at the ‘Rice Delight’ towards two young girls, aged 13 and 16, landed him in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He made sexual comments towards the girls leaving them feeling uncomfortable. This led to one of them telling their mum and the police were contacted.

Yan Kin Ng, of Mackinnon Place, Dunfermline, admitted the offences and appeared for sentencing.

On various occasions between January 1 and September 8 last year at Rice Delight, Linburn Road, and elsewhere, he made repeated comments to a 16-year-old girl about her sexuality and relationships and inappropriate comments about her coming to the premises naked.

He also admitted that on various occasions between 1st September and 7th November last year, he repeatedly made sexual remarks to a girl aged 13. He repeatedly commented about slapping her buttocks.

The court was told Yan Kin Ng is the joint owner and manager of the take-away.

The court previously heard that Yan Kin Ng sent a message to the older girl saying she “can be naked” if she wanted at the take-away.

He told the 13-year-old girl to call him “Uncle Eddie” but she refused.

He also made multiple comments about “slapping her bum” and joking that he would be sued if he did.

He also pestered the girl to see what she had been putting on social media.

Defence solicitor Brian Black said, “He accepts now that it was not some kind of bad joke and that these were two vulnerable young people.”

Sheriff Allan Findlay told Yan Kin Ng, “You’ve accepted the inappropriateness of your behaviour.”

He imposed a community payback order with one year’s supervision and Yan Kin Ng has been put on the sex offenders register for the same period.
