A SCOTTISH broadcaster and comedian has raised over £30,000 by walking from Inverkeithing to Glasgow.
As previously reported in the Press, Des Clarke was walking from the Fife town to Glasgow in 24 hours in aid of the radio station’s chosen charity, Global’s Make Some Noise.
The walk came to 52 miles in total, which equals two marathons.
The charity funds vital projects delivered by small charities, tackling a range of issues such as mental health, poverty and homelessness.
After walking for a whopping 23.5 hours, Des completed his Great Walk to Glasgow at 5.33pm on Friday, October 11. This was after he set off at 6pm in Inverkeithing the day before.

The Provost of Fife, Jim Leishman, was also at Inverkeithing to send Des on his way.
Des was kept motivated by nine inspiring small Scottish charities who joined him through Lanarkshire and into Glasgow to walk and share stories of how the money they've received from Make Some Noise has made such a positive impact on the services they deliver.
Some famous faces joined the radio presenter on his walk, including Dame Judy Murray, comedian Susie McCabe, and Love Island’s Anton Danyluk.
Des managed to raise over £30,000 for Global’s Make Some Noise.
