THERE HAVE been issues with waste being left on the pavement and road in a Dunfermline street.
Cllr Gordon Pryde posted about the issue on Victoria Terrace on his Facebook page and asked anyone with any information about it to contact him by message or email.
He said: “There have been a number of incidents of waste from the landfill bins being strewn over the pavement and road at Victoria Terrace.
"This would appear to have resulted from deliberate acts, this is also the understanding of a number of residents who have contacted me on the matter.
“However, whether this is from deliberate targeted acts or random thoughtless and unprovoked actions I am unable to say.

“As well as being very unsightly, these malicious acts are creating an obvious attraction to vermin.”
He added: “Fife Council does have a policy that bins should not be left out on the street or pavement throughout the week. It should be arranged that bins are put out for collection prior to the day that they are to be uplifted.
“This process does not appear to being adhered to at this location as the bins are sitting on the pavement during the whole of the week.
“I have contacted the team at Fife Council that deal with domestic waste collection, and it has been confirmed to me that they will initiate the process of instructing the residents that the bins should be removed from the street after the waste has been uplifted.”
Sandy Anderson, service manager for waste collections and street cleansing at Fife Council, said that he'd been made aware of the incidents and confirmed that the mess was quickly dealt with.
He added: "We're also writing to local residents to remind them to take their bins back off the street in between collections to help prevent this happening again."
