A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for a horrific knife attack on his partner in Dunfermline.
Violent thug Lewis McDonald was out on early release from a previous custodial sentence when he carried out the assault which left the victim severely injured and scarred.

McDonald, described as a prisoner at Polmont, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He previously admitted that on April 27 at Redshank Crescent, Dunfermline, he assaulted his partner by striking her on the face with a knife to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Sheriff Krista Johnston jailed McDonald for 29 months plus another 101 days, which was unexpired from his previous period behind bars.
