DISRUPTION is expected in North Queensferry next week as planned roadworks get underway.

Main Street will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday to Thursday for work to take place.

A diversion will be in place for through traffic via Main Road, The Brae, Ferryhill Road, Hope Street, the Ferrytoll Junction, Hope View and Main Road.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency service vehicles.

Providing an update on Facebook, local councillor David Barratt said the closure was to facilitate the removal of a failed cobble sett.
