A BAR and restaurant in Dunfermline has sought permission for a covered outdoor seating area for customers.
Fabric, on Canmore Street, did have a marquee in the courtyard area to the east of the building but are now looking for something more permanent.
An application for listed building consent has been submitted to Fife Council as the property is a category B listed building in Dunfermline's conservation area.
A supporting statement explained: "The proposed area to be covered is an existing outdoor seating area for the customers.

"As the business started to open after Covid, marquees were erected in this area to provide a covered outdoor seating area but have recently been removed as the timescale these were allowed has now lapsed.
"This area was very popular with customers, and this is the reason that the applicant is making the application."
The plans are for a single storey structure which would accommodate around 40 people.
The statement added: "It is designed with bi-fold doors to the front and side which can be opened when the weather allows to give an open feel and rooflights to provide as much daylight as possible.
"The seating area will be open to customers at the same times as the restaurant."
A popular place to unwind with a cocktail or two, Fabric also offer 'Pan Asian' cuisine and have private dining areas and event spaces.
