A BRAND new convenience store is to officially open in West Fife this weekend.
Greens of Aberdour will officially launch in the village on Saturday with locals invited to come along and check the new premises out.
There have been plans for a retail unit at the Main Street site for over five years after Co-op received planning permission to knock down a car garage and former cottages there.
However their plans to open in November 2021 never came to fruition and Greens confirmed earlier this year that they would be opening up shop.
Providing an update this week on Facebook, they stated: "Greens of Aberdour is really starting to pull together and we're counting down the days until we get to open our doors and welcome the village inside for the very first time!

When Greens announced they would be opening in Aberdour, they said they run "award-winning convenience stores and post offices" throughout the country.
With over 20 sites across Scotland – including one in Crossford – they said they would be stocking items including the award winning Fisher & Donaldson’s cakes and pies, Costa Express, Skwishee frozenated (frozen-fizzy) slushies, a range of foods, alcohol, confectionery, every day essentials and more.
