A STRETCH of the M90 near Kelty will be closed for almost four weeks as woodland management works take place.

The £199,900 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, includes clearing up fly-tipping before work is done to trim or remove areas of woodland.

This work will reduce the risk of safety hazards due to overgrowth that can lead to a decline in tree health and loss of habitat for wildlife.

To allow for the work to be carried out safely the essential works will take place under hard shoulder closures and lane closures on all slips at various times.

Work on the M90 Junction 4 at Kelty will take place from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm from Monday, November 4, to Friday, November 29.

All work is weather-dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

A free Road Work Alerts service is available from our website. An email address is all that is required to sign up for the service.
