A WEBSITE has shown what some of Dunfermline’s streets could look like without cars.

Dutch Cycling Lifestyle allows you to see what a street looks like without vehicles using AI.

You simply find your street using their form or GPS. Their AI tool then produces four different results for you to choose from.

Here’s their interpretations of what several Dunfermline Streets would look like without vehicles. It includes St Margaret's Drive, New Row, Maygate, Woodmill Road, and Chapel Street.

The images from AI show an abundance of green where there wasn't much before, as a lack of roads and cars means that there is more space for bushes and grass to grow.

It also shows more people walking and cycling around the city, as there is more opportunity to do so safely.

Overall, a Dunfermline without vehicles looks a lot more open to nature and natural wildlife, than one with cars.
