RESURFACING WORKS are due to begin in High Valleyfield just shortly.

The works are estimated to start between Monday, November 4 and Tuesday, November 12.

As a result, the A985 from B9037 Junction to Clinkum Bank will be closed. The roadworks are expected to last for ten working days.

As previously reported in the Press, there are over three weeks of roadworks to the road surface on the A985 at Crombie and High Valleyfield.

Bear Scotland, who are carrying out the project, say that to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, it will be necessary to close sections of the A985 at these locations during the works with signed diversions in place.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South-East Network manager said: “These surfacing improvements will address and repair defects in the road surface such as potholes and cracking, creating safer and smoother journeys for motorists.

"It is essential for the safety of the workforce that we close the carriageway during these works, however, we’ve scheduled this during overnight hours to minimise any disruption.”

“We thank motorists in advance for their patience while our teams carry out these improvements.”
