A police officer had to request backup after an incident that saw a man arrested in Dunfermline.
Several police vehicles were seen near the city’s Broomhead Flats this afternoon.

Police Scotland said that the heavy police presence came during the arrest of a man in the area today for an earlier incident.
After the initial incident, described by police as a "disturbance", an officer called for back-up to help detain the man.
After the request for assistance, more officers came to help in the arrest.
