A WOMAN is in "serious" condition in hospital after being hit by a car last night in Lochore.
The incident happened around 8.45pm on Lochleven Road.
Police Scotland are appealing for information and witnesses after what they described as a "serious" crash in the village.
A statement read: "Around 8.45pm on Saturday November 2, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a red Audi A3 car and a female pedestrian on Lochleven Road, Lochore.
"Emergency services attended and the 42-year-old pedestrian was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where her condition is described as serious.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash."
Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time to contact us as soon as possible.”
