A legendary Madchester band will play a one-off Scottish gig at Dunfermline’s PJ Molloys.
The English group Inspiral Carpets will take to the stage on Saturday 24 May 2025.
They return to Dunfermline after playing the venue as recently as 2023.
It’s expected to be a sell-out just like last time round, and tickets will be available online on Wednesday November 6 at 10am.
Formed in Oldham in 1980, the group reformed in 2011, but they took an eight break from touring from 2016 following the death of drummer Craig Gill.
Fans will be familiar with the band’s hit songs, including “This is how it Feels”, “Saturn 5”, and “She comes in the fall.”
Promoter Calum Miller said: “Delighted to have such a prestigious band as Inspiral Carpets choosing PJ Molloys for their only Scottish date on the May UK tour.
“It shows how much the venue has grown over the years and become one of the premier Grassroots Music Venues in Scotland. A night not too be missed for everyone.”
Madchester is certainly a popular theme at the venue, which often hosts the popular Fools Gold Indie Nightclub, scheduled to take place on boxing day this year.
