Communities across Dunfermline and West Fife are gearing up to pay their respects on Remembrance Sunday.

Dunfermline's Abbey Church will provide a focal point for tributes with its annual display of knitted poppies, with the church being open from Wednesday, November 6, until Saturday, November 16, between 10am and 4pm, except on Sundays and Mondays.

The Remembrance Sunday service on November 10 will begin at 10.50am at the war memorials, followed by a service inside the church at 11.30am.

A short moment of remembrance will be held on Remembrance Day at 10.55am.

In North Queensferry, there will be a service at the war memorial in the lower village, across from the Ferrybridge Hotel, which will take place from 10.30am until 11.30am.

Cairneyhill Parish Church will hold a service at 11.30am, followed by an act of remembrance at the war memorial at approximately 12.30pm.

The 62nd Fife Scout Group is organising Crossford's Remembrance Sunday parade from 10.30am until 12pm, from their scout hall to the war memorial and back.

In Inverkeithing, the Royal Naval Association's Rosyth and West Fife branch will run the event, beginning with parading units gathering at the Inverkeithing Community Centre at 10.30am, moving off at 10.45am.

A ceremony will take place at the town's Garden of Remembrance before the parade returns to the community centre for 12.15pm.

Kelty's parade will leave Kelty Ex-Serviceman’s Club at 10.25am, heading to the war memorial on Station Road for the service.

Refreshments will be served at the club after the service.

Kincardine's parade, organised by the Kincardine Children's Gala Committee, will start at 11.30am and end just before 1pm.

The Limekilns parade will commence at Limekilns Parish Church at 10.30am, proceed to the Promenade and the Limekilns and Charlestown War Memorial, and return to the church for 11.30am.

Townhill's service will be held on Main Street at the war memorial from 11.30am to 12.30pm.

These events offer community members the opportunity to come together to remember and honour those who have served and continue to serve.
