NINETIES dance act N-Trance and the Red Hot Chilli pipers are set to bring festive cheer to Dunfermline this weekend after being announced as headliners for the city's Big Light Switch-on.

N-Trance will bring their iconic hits – which include Set You Free, Stayin' Alive and Do Ya Think I'm Sexy – to the stage on Sunday, November 17.

They will be joined by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers who promise "bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish accent."

The announcements was made via Fife Council's Our Dunfermline Facebook page.

Revealing the first headliner, they stated: "We're beyond excited to announce that N-Trance will be one of our headliners for Dunfermline's Big Light Switch-On.

"Get ready for an unforgettable night as they bring their iconic hits to Dunfermline City."

MC B from the group said they were looking forward to partying in the city. "It is going to be so, so good. We are going to play you a load of big hits. There's going to be big hype, big vibes and big, big energy so make sure you guys get there early.

"There's going to be a Christmas parade and lots of cools stuff happening. Make sure you get right to the front because we will be getting you raving. Lots of vibes, lots of our old school hits."

A later update confirmed the addition of Red Hot Chilli Pipers to the line up.

It added: "Get ready to rock Dunfermline City with an incredible performance from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

"Mark your calendars: Sunday 17 November - it's going to be RED HOT!"

On Sunday, Just the Brave and Steve McCrorie will provide entertainment ahead of the light switch on at 5pm before N-Trance then Red Hot Chilli Pipers take to the stage. 

The heart of Dunfermline will be filled with festive cheer from 11 am to 6.40 pm. 

The public can look forward to an artisan market, funfair, live entertainment, a Santa dash, mascot race, and parade before the main event, the Big Light Switch-On takes place followed by the headline acts.
