A sex offender, who targeted a young girl online, was annoyed by having restrictions put on his internet use.

Pervert Andrew Tait was given a light sentence at Dunfermline Sheriff Court but was still not happy about it.

The victim was a young girl in the Dunfermline area.

Tait, of Tourhill Road, Onthank, Kilmarnock, appeared back in the dock having breached a community payback order which was imposed in February.

He previously admitted that between March 12, and November 3, 2020, he intentionally caused a girl aged 16 to look at a sexual image, exposed his genitals to the girl via a social media app and sent her a video of him masturbating.

In February, Sheriff Garry Sutherland imposed a community payback order with two years of supervision and Tait was put on the sex offenders register for the same period.

However, when Tait returned to court it became clear he had not been complying with restrictions put on him.

Sheriff Susan Duff said: “He expressed his annoyance about the restrictions and was very unhappy about it.”

The sheriff said she would need more information from social workers overseeing the order in Kilmarnock and she continued the case until December 4.
