A 35-year-old Dunfermline man who caused a stand-off with police lasting four hours has been jailed.
Karl Strathearn followed his ex-partner from his home into the street and brandished a metal pole, swinging it towards a car.
He then played loud music in his home, telling police officers he had weapons and threatening them.
Strathearn, of Haig Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison to be sentenced for a series of offences.
He admitted that on June 12 at Craigmyle Street, he attended at a house, shouted through the letter box, demanded money and punched the door.
On July 5 at East End Park, Dunfermline, he breached bail conditions when he was in the company of his former partner when banned from having contact with her.

On October 9 at Haig Crescent, he followed two females from his home into the street, brandished a metal pole at them, swung it towards their car, picked up a concrete slab and raised it above his head.
One of the females was his former partner.
Then over a period of four hours, he refused to engage with police then announced he was in possession of weapons, which necessitated the attendance of negotiators and firearms officers.

He increased the volume of loud music playing in his home, repeatedly shouted, swore and threatened police officers with a screwdriver and threw dumb-bells in their direction.
The court was told the first incident involved Strathearn going to the home of his former partner demanding money back after giving her a loan.
He was then with her at a function at East End Park, breaching bail conditions.
Sheriff Susan Duff jailed Strathearn for nine months and imposed a one-year non-harassment order.
