A fundraiser for Louis the peacock has managed to raise over £4000.
As previously reported in the Press, there were concerns regarding Louis’ health due to injuries stemming from the horrific attack at the aviary more than two years ago.
During the attack on May 30, 2022, the sanctuary was broken into and Louis suffered injuries to his leg and neck.
A GoFundMe page was set up to raise funds to support Louis and to help with his medical and enclosure needs.

The Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park Facebook page posted: “We are still looking to raise more money to get Louis his own personal enclosure. As he is not allowed up high and will never be free roaming, we want him to have his own palace.
“If you can spare anything we would be very grateful. To get outside, Louis needs carried out and supervised as he would be on the shed roof in 0.3 seconds if he got the chance! And I would have to go up and get him.
“I work full time so can only be up there at the weekend and having his own enclosure would be amazing for him.”
