A Dunfermline restaurant has been crowned the best in the east of Scotland.

Jack 'O' Bryans picked up the Best Restaurant Award at the Forth Awards.

The awards, presented by OT, celebrate 'the very best' of Edinburgh and the east, including local heroes and entertainment stars.

The Usher Hall event featured surprise performances from the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Nathan Evans, and 80s icons Heaven 17.

Forth 1 presenters, including Boogie and Arlene and Garry Spence, presented 10 awards across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, and Falkirk.

Jack 'O' Bryans was described at the awards as bringing together "the beauty of Scotland’s natural larder with the richness of Asian or Iberian cuisine.

"They aim to champion the very best produce from here in Scotland and to marry it with flavours, fragrances and textures from around the world."

Forth 1 listeners also described the restaurant as "their favourite dining experience in Dunfermline with many describing it as a warm, friendly place to dine with exceptional staff and management."

Richie Jeffrey, head of events at Bauer Media, said: "The Forth Awards are always a really special afternoon as we celebrate local listeners who go over and above for their communities.

"Today was no exception as our sold out crowd in the Usher Hall enjoyed non-stop entertainment, music, and comedy, as well as inspiring stories from our worthy winners.

"Forth 1 are delighted to be able to shine a spotlight on these people and recognise them as pillars of our local community, and we’d like to thank today’s audience for supporting the event year after year."

Other winners included Callum Beattie, Hue and Cry, and Susie McCabe, with a charity auction raising money for Forth 1’s Cash for Kids.
