A 20mph speed limit is set to be enforced on two Kincardine roads for at least the next eighteen months
The A977 and A985 Kincardine trunk roads will both see sections with reduced speed limits due to safety concerns.
The new restriction will take effect from November 18, 2024, until May 18, 2026.
The specific stretches of road affected are: the A977 from outside Kincardine on the east through past the High Street junction up towards the junction with Kirk Brae, covering a distance of 891 metres.
On the A985, the restriction will apply from the junction with the A876 on the North Approach Road next to the Kincardine Bridge towards the roundabout on the east side of Kincardine and Toll Road for a distance of almost 300 metres.
Transport Scotland say the restrictions are needed to ensure safety, due to a nearby community club and primary school.
The temporary speed limit will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
