A West Fife pub is urging customers to write letters to people in local hospitals this Christmas
Garvies in Kincardine will provide a list of recipients and deal with delivery of the cards, which will be sent out on December 15.
It’s part of a wider initiative by the company Proper-Pubs, through which 17 pubs in Scotland aim to tackle social isolation.
A representative said: "Pubs are often at the heart of their communities, especially in rural areas where they provide vital services and serve as a safe space."
A recent study by think-tank Localis found that 68% of British adults believe pubs help to tackle loneliness in their local area.
