The A92 has been reopened this evening after being closed due to a police incident, with officers warning the public to avoid the area.
The road was shut in both directions near Cardenden due to concern for a person.
Police say they were called to the area at around 7.40pm.
Drivers were being advised to use an alternative route that does not take in the Chapel junction.
However, officers later reopened the road shortly before 9pm.
