Roadworks on Hawkhill Road in Kincardine are to continue until mid-December, Fife Council has confirmed.
It was reported last week that the roadworks were to be extended to the end of November.
A new notice now prolongs the closure until Friday, December 13, for Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) works.
The affected stretch is from its junction with A977 to the Fife Boundary at Lookaboutye Brae.
A diversion is in place, directing traffic via Main Street, Cattle Market, Alloa Road, and Clackmannan Road.
Access remains open for emergency services, residents, and pedestrians.
The new notice covers from 7.30am on November 22 to 7pm on December 13.
