DUNFERMLINE has been ranked top city in Scotland for accessible attractions.
A survey published by CareCo put together a comprehensive investigation in an effort to find out the most accessible cities in the UK.
It found that it was top of the table of the eight Scottish cities – and 20th placed across the UK – with a total of 44 accessible attractions.
The research also showed there were 57 wheelchair accessible restaurants in the city, seven accessible car parking locations, 44 places with accessible accommodation Overall, the results showed Dunfermline was the fifth most accessible city in Scotland and 29th in the UK.

CareCo said they wanted to discover where the most accessible cities are.
"When we define accessibility, we mean that people with mobility issues or disabilities aren’t excluded from activities," they explained.
"We understand that accessibility can be far more reaching than this, but for our research below, we’ve looked at accessibility as something defined by how easy or difficult it is for people to visit restaurants, attractions, toilets, accommodation and parking if they, for example, used a mobility scooter or wheelchair.
"We believe at CareCo that accessibility should be available for all."
