WEST Fifers are being warned to brace themselves for wintry weather with forecasts triggering a yellow weather warning.
The Met Office say snow and ice is expected from today (Thursday) until midday on Friday while a yellow warning for rain and snow has been put in place from 4am on Saturday until 9am on Sunday.
Travel disruption is expected due to wintry showers and icy patches.

The Met Office stated: "Icy stretches are expected to form on untreated surfaces during Thursday evening and overnight into Friday morning as temperatures drop below freezing, especially following any showers."
The forecast warns that heavy snow on Saturday could be followed by "a rapid thaw and subsequent rain on Saturday night" which may also cause some disruption.
