"The music scene in Dunfermline is like no other" are the words of a former frontman as he gets ready to perform back in the city once again.
In December, Nick Shane and his band will open the show for The Castros at PJ Molloys.
Tickets for the December 6 performance can be purchased from their social media channels, or through PJ Molloys' website.
Mr Shane, former lead singer of NSA, has a longstanding association with Dunfermline, especially from the beginning of his career.
His song Long Brown Hair was written when he was a 17-year-old busker in the town.
The tune was later recorded by Shane's Dundee Mod/Punk band The NSA in 2014.
Mr Shane said: "I’m really glad that this single is associated with Dunfermline, from the meaning behind the song, the writing process, even up to one of the many Dunfermline musicians appearing on the single cover.
"My dad was from Dunfermline and I still have a number of family members who live there.
"I’ve always believed that the music scene in Dunfermline is like no other I’ve ever seen, anywhere in the UK.
"There’s gigs in Dunfermline most nights, and the whole community pulls together to make it happen."
Mr Shane had previously spoken to the Dunfermline Press about his love for the city and its friendliness back in 2015.
The NSA was a Dundee Mod/Punk band consisting of Nick Shane (vocals/guitars), Daniel Watt (bass), and Steven Tasker (drums).
The name was given by Mr Shane who claims “I got it off Grindr”.
Long Brown Hair is now being remastered and released onto all streaming and media platforms including Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon Music.
Mr Shane is also set to release a full, previously unheard album of NSA tracks including live tracks recorded in Dunfermline.
The recordings, from almost a decade ago, were made in venues including the Heart + Sound Studios, and PJ Molloys.
