A DUNFERMLINE man caused a disturbance in a local bar and after being arrested he smeared excrement over the walls of his cell.
Richard Martin, 49, should not have been in the bar in the first place as he was breaching a home curfew.
Martin, of Carlyle Lane, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on November 15 at PJ Molloys in Canmore Street and at Kirkcaldy police station, he acted aggressively, repeatedly shouted, swore and challenged others to fight, including police officers.
He also breached a home curfew, in place from 8pm to 8am.
Then at Kirkcaldy police station he smeared excrement over the door, hatch, walls and floor of a cell and also urinated there.
The court heard Martin has an extensive record of previous convictions.
Defence solicitor Jaclyn Robertson said her client “doesn’t work because of his poor health”.
Sheriff Krista Johnston called for reports and Martin will be sentenced on December 11. She added that she was “just persuaded” to grant bail.
