Fife police have investigated a reported assault that was thought to have taken place this morning in Dunfermline.
Officers were called out to Queensferry Road in Pitreavie to an incident reportedly involving three men but when police arrived at the location there was nothing there.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 6.40 am this morning. However, when police arrived there was no sign of anyone.
"Officers carried out enquiries at the location but nothing further was reported."
