Fife Council is proposing to lower speed limits on certain roads in Saline.
The move is set to affect the B913 Main Street/West Road, which will see a reduction to 20mph.
This will stretch from the eastern side of the village from the junction with Upper Kinneddar along Main Street along to the junction with West Road.
It runs along West Road past what will be the entrance junction for the initial 39 affordable houses in Saline that were approved last year by Fife Council.
The new limit will mean that the road outside Saline Primary School will be 20mph at all times.
Additionally, a section of the B913 West Road leading into the village from the west side will be reduced to 30mph from the current 60mph.
The proposal aims to address road safety concerns raised during the council meeting when the housing development was approved.
Residents can view the full details of the proposal on Fife Council's website.
Anyone wishing to object to the proposals can do so by writing to Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service, at Bankhead Central, Bankhead Park, Glenrothes, Fife, KY7 6GH.
Objections can also be emailed to traffic.management@fife.gov.uk stating the grounds of objection, the objector’s name, and address.
The deadline for objections to be raised is December 26.
