Two Aberdour beaches have achieved an 'excellent' water quality status.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) awarded Silversands and Black Sands this top rating.
They are part of the record 87 per cent of Scotland's beaches that have reached either 'excellent' or 'good' standard this year.
This represents a 22 per cent improvement since Bathing Water Regulations were implemented in 2015.
Annabelle Ewing, the SNP MSP for Cowdenbeath, said: "It is excellent news that both Aberdour beaches have recorded an ‘excellent’ standard of water quality.
"These beaches have been consistently meeting the highest of standards for many years and it is no surprise that they are such a popular destination."
