A LONG serving former employee of the Dunfermline Press has died at the age of 75.
Bill Scott, joined the paper as an apprentice compositor when he left school at the age of 15 in around May 1965 and stayed with the company for more than 40 years.
He later moved over to the advertising department, going on to work as advertising manager, before he moved departments again and went onto become circulation manager, a role he held for many years.
After leaving the Press around 2009, he took up a job driving taxis for NHS Fife, transporting patients to and from hospital.
A keen reader and gardener, he had a passion for motorsports and was a Formula One and classic cars enthusiast.
A funeral service for Bill, who is survived by his partner Shamshad, will be held at Dunfermline Crematorium on Wednesday, December 18 at 9.15am.
