LEGENDARY director Quentin Tarantino is credited as a songwriter on the opening track of Paolo Nutini's new album, it has been revealed.
The movie man, 59, who directed Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, has given permission for a sample passage from his 1993 film True Romance to appear on the song Afterneath.
The film stars Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette and The Sun reports that although the director usually says no to such requests, he has this time agreed.
The song will feature in Paolo's first album in eight years Last Night In The Bittersweet with the Paisley crooner, 35, already teasing fans with the release of singles Through the Echos, Lose It, and Shine A Light. The album is due out on July 1.

A source told the newspaper: "Paolo is a big film fan and the section used in the song really resonated with him. Quentin never usually signs off on stuff like this but Paolo sent him the track and it turned out that he loved it and he gave the go-ahead.
“Paolo likes to make all of his music himself, but to have Tarantino’s name credited on your track is pretty cool.”
Previously, Paolo's 2014 tune Iron Sky featured an excerpt from a speech given by Charlie Chaplin in his 1940 movie The Great Dictator.
The songwriter is due to headline TRNSMT music festival at the Glasgow Green next month.
