Could someone please tell me when the embargo on Saturday travel to Edinburgh will be lifted?
Last Saturday, there were mile-long tailbacks and a long queue of people at the Ferrytoll park and ride airport/Edinburgh bus stop.
Hundreds of people were left standing for hours and had to return home with unfulfilled hospital visits and expensive unused tickets for theatres, rugby and football venues.
The weather was not to blame.
To be entirely cut off from Edinburgh is quite unacceptable even during a rail strike. Can extra coaches not be drafted in when there are large volumes of traffic?
The Scottish Transport minister should be ashamed of the situation where it is impossible to enter the capital city on a given day – especially in 2022.
Will there be a repeat of this scenario on Saturday?
