A RECRUITMENT drive has been launched by Aberdour Shinty Club as they seek new players to join them for the upcoming season.
Based at Silver Sands and led by head coach Lisa MacColl, the club have two men’s teams, a women’s side and a women’s/girls development squad for players who are new to the game.
Aberdour also boast teams at primary school, under-14 and under-17 level, with a Primary 4/5 team last year reaching the Camanachd Association National Indoor League finals.
Aberdour are looking for senior players, both male and female, for the 2018 season and said on its Facebook page: “The club prides itself in its pathways from youth to senior, and ethos to play anyone who’s keen, in our wide range of teams for all abilities.
“We field teams at every age group from nursery age to senior men and women, making it a really welcoming family and community focused club making its mark on the shinty map.”
The men’s first team finished second in Marine Harvest South Division One for a second successive season last year, while the second team play in South Division Two.
