PARS shot-stopper Cammy Gill is in line for international honours after he was named in the Scotland under-20 squad.
The 20-year-old, who has previously been involved with the national side at under-16 level, was named in the 18-man pool by coach Scot Gemmill for a friendly match with Turkey next Saturday on Monday.
Gill, who joined Athletic at under-11 level, is one of two goalkeepers – the other being Rangers' Robby McCrorie – that will travel to Murcia, Spain, for the game.
He joins players such as Hibernian's Ryan Porteous and Oli Shaw, Aberdeen pair Lewis Ferguson and David Turnbull, and Celtic midfielder Michael Johnston in the squad as Gemmill assesses up-and-coming prospects for the age group squads.
Highly-rated Gill, who has been a regular in Dunfermline's reserve side this season, and was a mainstay in their under-20s team in previous seasons, made his senior debut last season when he came off the bench in an Irn-Bru Cup win at Buckie Thistle.
After a loan spell at Arbroath during the second half of the campaign, he made his first top-team start in a 3-1 Betfred Cup win over Stirling Albion in July, and followed that up with another in an Irn-Bru success at Inverness the following month.
Gill signed a new contract with the club in January 2017, having been linked with Celtic and Hearts, to keep him at East End until the end of the current campaign.
