A TALENTED team of West Fife footballers are one game away from reaching a showpiece national final.
Dunfermline Athletic Girls and Ladies FC's Under-14 Whites, who play in the Scottish Women's Football (SWF) East Region, have reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Power Youth Challenge Cup for their age group.
On Sunday, they hosted Murieston United, from Livingston, in their quarter-final tie at Queen Anne High School and won through thanks to a 2-0 victory.
Olivia Fisher and Ellie Aird scored the goals to seal their passage to the last four, which came after a 3-0 success over Cambuslang FA and a 4-3 victory, after extra time, away to Inverurie's Colony Park.

The draw for the last four took place on Tuesday with Dunfermline drawn against Musselburgh Windsor, and Holytown Colts facing Forfar Farmington or Hamilton Academical.
Those ties will take place at Spartans' Ainslie Park on November 4-5, and the team's head coach, Chris Wilmshurst, said: "They played really well.
"It was a good game. Murieston United were really good and played well, but we just played that bit better and managed to get a couple of goals.
"It's massive for the girls. There was a big attendance; Murieston brought loads over, and we had loads of extra fans. There were easily 150 people there, so it was great. The support we got was amazing.
"The girls are super excited for the next round and to see how far they can go. To have a couple of East Region teams, ourselves and Forfar, in the last eight and last four, is great for the area."
In June, the under-14 whites lifted the SWF East Region League Cup by beating Jeanfield Swifts at Station Park, Forfar, and are currently top of the East Region Under-14s Caroline Weir League with six wins from six games.
Two other Dunfermline Athletic teams, the Reds and Blacks, play in the Lana Clelland and Lucy Hope under-14s East Region leagues respectively.
