SWIFTS boss Jason Dair felt it was "definitely two points dropped" for his side on Saturday three days after their "best performance of the season".

A last-gasp equaliser gave Tynecastle a share of the spoils at the weekend, after Inverkeithing had fought back to lead 2-1 and looked set for a second successive victory after their win last midweek at Dundonald Bluebell.

Ryan Cowie, and an Aaron Wood penalty, cancelled out Lewis McKenzie's spot-kick for former Dunfermline and Kelty Hearts midfielder Stephen Husband's Bluebell, to end a run of five league games without a win for Swifts.

"Second half, we were much better for most of it and missed a couple of good chances again, but we then got a penalty ourselves in around 75 minutes and Aaron Wood slotted home," Dair said.

"We defended great in the last 15 minutes. It was our best performance of the season and a great three points."

Dair, however, was left to rue the loss of two points against Tynecastle.

After losing goalkeeper Gregor Brown early on to a knee injury, which Dair said will keep him out for a while, a deflected cross from Ryan Cameron put the visitors ahead.

Brodie Strang levelled with a back post header five minutes before the break, and Ronan McMurchie put them ahead with a quarter of an hour to go in similar fashion.

However, in the final minute, Mackie Scott levelled for Tynecastle, and Dair added: "IT was not the same standard of performance as Wednesday, but we looked like we'd hold on for three points, however we lost a bad goal in the last minute.

"It is definitely two points dropped, but a good haul of four points from the last two games."

Rosyth 0 Kirkcaldy and Dysart 4, East of Scotland League, First Division

ROSYTH followed up an impressive defeat of St Andrews United last Wednesday evening with a "disappointing" defeat to Kirkcaldy and Dysart on Saturday.

Stevie Crawford's side, who play Heriot-Watt University this Saturday in the Alex Jack Cup semi-final, were convincing winners against St Andrews, with talisman Tam Hampson netting all four of their goals.

Their opponents, who went into the game third in the table, had no answer to Rosyth, who netted all their goals in the first half, despite missing a penalty, and experienced Garry Leighton coming close on more than one occasion with headers from set pieces.

Kirkcaldy and Dysart, however, found themselves just above the relegation places but Crawford said they "had a game plan to be very direct and competitive" and to "get in our faces and play in our half as much as they could from long balls".

Lewis Anderson, Kieran Dall and John Smith had the visitors three goals up at the break, before Jack Wilson completed the scoring early in the second half.

"After one of our best performances of the season, beating St Andrews 4-1 last Wednesday, we followed it up with a disappointing result against Kirkcaldy and Dysart on Saturday, losing 4-0," Crawford said.

"The challenges we faced in the two games were totally different. St Andrews were high in confidence coming to play us, and were sitting third in the league. However, the visit of Kirkcaldy and Dysart, who were sitting just above the relegation places, was a totally different game.

"Four nil flattered them but they did deserve to beat us on the day. We lost a few goals in the first half from set plays and went in 3-0 down. The second half, we huffed and puffed, but never caused their goalkeeper enough problems to score and get us back in the game.

"They scored a fourth to kill it with one of the few efforts on either goal in the second half."

Elsewhere, Crossgates Primrose, who picked up a point at Musselburgh Athletic last Wednesday after Brian Ritchie's opener was cancelled out, saw their home match with Glenrothes on Saturday postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Oakley United, who have signed Tommy Simpson from Inverkeithing, were also due to be in derby action, at home to Lochore Welfare, but that match at Blairwood Park also fell victim to the weather.
