DUNFERMLINE have completed their first signing of the January transfer window by swooping for Cardiff City's Malachi Fagan-Walcott.

The 21-year-old defender has, this morning, agreed a loan move to KDM Group East End Park until the end of the season.

He is a player known to James McPake, who took him on loan to Dundee three years ago, but his period on Tayside was cut short after just two appearances due to injury.

Ahead of tomorrow's match with Airdrieonians, McPake said he was hopeful he would be able to secure a deal for a new signing, and that has come to fruition.

London-born Fagan-Walcott began his professional career with Tottenham Hotspur, signing his first professional contract with the club in 2018, three years after joining, and made his first team debut in a 3-0 UEFA Champions League round of 16 loss to RB Leipzig in March 2020.

Last September, he left Spurs to join Cardiff, linking up with the Welsh EFL (English Football League) Championship's under-21s, on a deal until the end of the current season.

Fagan-Walcott, who has been capped by England at under-16 and under-17 level, could make his Pars debut in tomorrow's match with Airdrieonians.
