OWEN MOFFAT has acknowledged that the injuries within Athletic's squad have been challenging but aren't an excuse as they aim to return to winning ways.
The 22-year-old, who is on loan from Blackpool until the end of the season, has admitted he hasn't experienced an injury list like he has this season at any other point of his career so far.
But he insists that Dunfermline have good enough players to get results, and is hoping they can make amends for their recent defeat to Queen's Park at Hampden when they meet again at KDM Group East End Park on Saturday.
"It's been tough obviously for the players, and it's been tough for the staff as well," Moffat told Press Sport.
"It's challenging with the amount of bodies that are out. There's more boys, some days, that have been in the gym than we've had training. It's been tough that way but, hopefully in the next few weeks, people start to come back.

"We're not making any excuses. We've still got a good squad there and we've still got enough to get results.
"Looking to Saturday, there's boys coming back. Hopefully every week there'll be additions and, obviously, we brought in big Mal (Malachi Fagan-Walcott) as well, who will help. We'll just focus on ourselves and we won't think about the injuries because we've definitely got enough to put on a good performance."
The Pars fans will be hoping for an improved showing from their side after last time out, when they went down to defeat at the national stadium against the Spiders.
"We know that wasn't the best version of ourselves," admitted Moffat. "I'm sure everyone will be looking to improve their performance individually and, hopefully, that'll be reflected in the team's display.
"That night, all over the pitch, just wasn't good enough. Forgetting injuries or whatever, it just wasn't acceptable. On Saturday it's about everyone individually winning their battles and performing. I'm sure that'll be reflected in the result, hopefully, come Saturday at five o'clock.
"Obviously in the last few weeks we've had a few games called off, but it would be great to get a win and get back on track in terms of results."
