DUNFERMLINE Rugby Club's title-winning ladies side are scheduled to return to action this weekend as they aim for further trophy glory.
The McKane Park team, who picked up Scottish Rugby's Women's Caledonia Midlands / East Division Two last month, are due to begin their National Shield campaign on Sunday.
Gary Kenhard's squad are set to welcome Annan Rugby Club to their home pitch for their first match in the tournament, after which they will travel to Cartha Queen's Park second XV a week later.
On February 18, they make the trip to Wigtownshire, before closing their fixtures in this stage of the competition at home to Broughton, on March 10.
Following their title win, team captain, Lisa Hamilton-Martin, told Press Sport that the National Shield would be "a good test to see where we're at against teams we've maybe not had a chance to play against yet, or teams that have never seen us playing, to get a good bit of perspective and see where we're at against the rest of Scotland and how that's going to turn out for us."
Kick off at McKane is set for 2.30pm.
Meanwhile, Dunfermline's men's first XV are hoping to return to action this Saturday after their match at Strathmore was postponed.
Greenock Wanderers are the visitors in National League Division Four, for a 2pm kick off.
In Caledonia Midlands Region League, Division Three, Rosyth Sharks, whose home match with Perthshire second XV fell victim to a frozen pitch, are due to try and face those same opponents again, this time away from home, on Saturday with a 2pm start.
