TWO members of Carnegie Judo Club in Dunfermline have fought their way to major international medals whilst representing their country.
Sean Doran and Anthony Daye were recently selected to compete for Scotland at the Commonwealth Judo Championships, held in Malta, and returned home with bronze gongs.
Held over four days last month, the pair, who fought in the veterans' age group, joined more than 150 competitors from around the world, including each of the home nations, hosts Malta, India, South Africa, Canada, Australia and Jamaica.
Anthony claimed his medal in the under-100kg category, with sean winning his in the over-100kg category, and Carnegie Judo Club head coach, Jim Feenan (Sixth Dan), said: "This was a great way to celebrate our 40 years in the city.
"We’re incredibly proud of Sean and Athony’s achievements in being selected to represent Scotland and winning their medals.
"Whether you want to get fit, make new friends or win an international model, the first step is always the same. Walk into our Dojo."
Sean and Anthony's achievement comes as the club, located in Lyneburn Industrial Estate, Halbeath Place, celebrated 40 years since being founded in the city last year.
They are expanding classes to welcome a range of new players, from schoolchildren to older people looking to improve their fitness, pick up new skills or those returning to judo.
