THE planned move for Inverness Caledonian Thistle to use Kelty Hearts' New Central Park for training has been scrapped.
In a statement released this afternoon, Inverness stated they will continue to be based in the Highlands as doubts surround the future of the football club and its finances following its relegation to League One.
Within the statement, they said: "For clarity, on the football front, we have decided to remain training at Fort George for the foreseeable future."
The Press previously told you that the two League One sides had struck a deal for next season as part of an "innovative agreement" whereby Inverness would base themselves 135 miles away from their home stadium during the week.
Kelty had said that the Caley Jags would hire their facilities, including the artificial surface, on-site grass pitches, and offices for their coaching staff, a move which received widespread backlash from the Inverness support.
However, the move is now off. We'll bring you more on this when we have it.
